Enjoyable Yeshivacation at Chabad Japan

Enjoyable Yeshivacation at Chabad Japan

Shiur Chabad Tokyo
During the summer months, when the weather is great, and we have a tendency to ”spoil” ourselves with a good vacation, now is the time to treat ourselves also spiritually. At Chabad of Japan, there is a special focus on weekly Torah classes, especially during this time.
This week we had a great Torah class by Rabbi Edery. All the participants came out with good resolutions. Join us, and recharge yourself this summer with meaningful thoughts and good deeds.
Edery Boys Tefillin Route

Edery Boys Tefillin Route

Zalman Tefillin
Every Friday the Edery boys go out and visit people to put on Tefillin. They might ”catch them” in their office or at home, and do the spiritual ”physical therapy”, strap’em up,
and then give a warm, ”just popped out of the oven” Chabad Japan signature Challah. This is called the ”Tefillin Route”.
Sometimes other boys join the fun and learning experience. The people are moved and happy to see their weekly visitors, and are impressed by their consistency and devotion.
Special Mazal Tov to Shneor Zalman Edery on his 11th birthday. May you give much happiness to your parents, many good and healthy years and success in all your endeavors.

Torah at Mount Sinai
Torah at Mount Sinai

At Chabad of Japan we have been busy with many good things. A fantastic Shavuot, with a big minyan and many participants for the Reading of the Ten Commandments. We have been blessed with a new ”staff member” over the Shavuot Holiday, a new baby girl.

Menucha Rochel Edery

Mazal Tov to Rabbi Binyomin and Efrat Edery on the birth of their daughter Menucha Rochel, last Thursday, second day of Shavuot Holiday.

May you bring her up to Torah, Chupah and good deeds

in good health and happiness.

Menucha Rochel is named after Rebbetzin Menucha Rochel Slonim who lived in Hebron in the 1800’s.

Lag Baomer Celebration Chabad Japan 2013

Lag Baomer Chabad Japan Children's Parade

From noon to midnight there were constantly people coming to take part in the Lag Baomer Celebration in honor of Rabi Shimon Bar Yochai. There was great joy, delicious food, and lots of stories, and words of Torah. All the children went out on a Lag Baomer parade, in honor of the auspicious day. The children carried signs encouraging onlookers to add in good deeds and acts of kindness to bring Moshiach closer.

Children Dancing Lag Baomer

The children all danced together, in honor of the holy sage, they had a raffle with valuable prizes raffled off. Ice cream and Lag Baomer baggies finished off the big day with a big bang. May the merit of Rabi Shimon stand for all the people who participated.
Special thanks to Reuven Talasazan for donating the Lag Baomer Festive Meal. May you and your family be blessed with all the berachot.
