In Japan the Israeli consul celebrated Sukkos with the local shliach, Rabbi Binyomin Edery. Rabbi Edery drove his sukka mobile into the grounds of the consulate, where Mr. Michel Harel, and his aide entered the sukka to bentsch lulav. Rabbi Edery then said lechaim with the consul and his aide and spoke for a short while on the significance of Sukkos. Rabbi Edery also gave the other employees of the Israeli consulate the opportunity of bentsching lulav.

Apart from the above, the Jewish community of Tokyo Japan, Chabad Japan, ran a variety of activities throughout Sukkos, including farbrengens with local Jews and Israelis currently working or living in the area.
