The Deeper Light – Chanukah and the Days of Moshiach
Chanukah is the festival of light — and, as explained in Chassidus, this light is not ordinary. It is the light of Torah and holiness that will shine eternally in the era of Moshiach.
The Lubavitcher Rebbe, King HaMoshiach, reveals that each Chanukah candle symbolizes the light of Redemption — a light that grows stronger with every generation, dispelling the last traces of exile.
“The Chanukah lights illuminate even the darkest corners of the world — until we will see the great light of Moshiach, when night will shine like day.”
— The Lubavitcher Rebbe King Moshiach
This Chanukah in Tokyo, we are not just lighting candles.
We are lighting up the world.
Unveiling the Kotel in Japan – A Living Sign of Redemption
For the first time ever, real Jerusalem stones have been brought to Japan to create a sacred replica of the Western Wall — the Kotel, the heart of Am Yisrael.
It stands as a symbol of unity, yearning, and faith — and of the Rebbe’s vision that “the entire world will become Eretz Yisrael.”
In the words of the prophets, “The glory of Hashem will be revealed, and all flesh will see it together.” This project is a living step toward that revelation.
Torah Scroll Dedication – Light of Torah, Light of Moshiach
The Torah is called “Torah Or” – the Light of Torah.
Dedicating a new Sefer Torah in Tokyo represents the spreading of G-dliness to the ends of the earth, fulfilling the Rebbe’s mission to bring the light of Torah and mitzvos to every place in the world.
As this Torah is brought to its new home, we are fulfilling the prophecy:
“For out of Zion shall go forth Torah, and the word of Hashem from Jerusalem.”
Now, even from Tokyo, that light shines — preparing the world for the time when “the world will be filled with the knowledge of Hashem as the waters cover the sea.”
